just use a T fitting and your all set

The oil port is right behind the fuel pump. So the suggested tee would be a 1/8 " pipe fitting to screw in the sender and tap into the gauge. If it is just for a test you can leave the gauge in the engine compartment and plug it when done. You may have a 45 degree fitting stock. It is all hard ware store stuff.

Sorry. It is 1/4 " pipe thread. I used a nipple about 4" long into a tee and put the sender and my new gauge fitting in. You are just looking to get past the fuel pump so you can rotate the tee.
