Alright, I give up
I've been searching for awhile for a two groove crank pulley with four mounting bolt holes. Engine is 302. Seems like all I can find is a three bolt pulley.
So, got to thinking tonight.. why can't I just buy a three bolt pulley and drill new holes to mount with four bolts? I know I'd probably only get to use one of the existing holes, but why can't I drill three more and call it good.
Either that, or does anyone have a four bolt hole, two groove pulley, for a 302 they'd part with?
Can't believe it's been that hard to find one. Local junk yards ain't no help 'round hyar.

Dang, I don't got no pulley's.. Just the 4 bolt balancer.
It's an 86 Bronco motor if that helps widen your search...

Re: Alright, I give up
If this helps, FORD went to the 4-bolt balancer in 1970.
Remember, not all pulleys are the same, i.e. they will have different diameters and/or offsets for different applications.
I missed the origional post. What is it you are trying to do?

Re: Alright, I give up
Hmmm...Good point.. I didn't realize the potential diameter/offset problems that I'd have to deal with.
What Im trying to do is go from a single pulley system to a dual pulley to add aftermarket A/C. Right now I have a single pulley (alternator only) and am wanting to add a Sanden 508 A/C compressor to the mix.

Re: Alright, I give up
I bought just that setup for a 302 from Summit. It is the fancy alloy type and was not cheap but they do have them and everything lined up. Sorry I don't have the number.

Re: Alright, I give up
I checked online for Summit and didn't see any v-belt pulleys. I'll try again.
Thanks

Re: Alright, I give up
I was just out in the shop workin on my car and was moving all the pieces I just took off. I just took off a set of long tube 1 5/8 headman headers these were on my 66 fairlane with manual steerin and manual brakes. I used them on my 351w but they are 302 289 headers. The collecters were cut off and ball flanges installed also pass side has 100 $ worth of header wrap on it the drivers side pipe was cut and modifyed for clearance. The 351 has a higher deck height that why all the mods. These would work great on your car. Hell If i could figure away Id ship you the whole exhaust system. It had removable cutouts for open exhause and 2004 mustang GT stainless tail pipes nice looken Exhaust. I am putting a new engine in with AFR heads and custom headers and all this stuff I no longer need. I also replaced my diff/brakes and suspention. If there is anything else u need.
