idle surge

My 69 Torino has just developed an idle surge on it's 302 engine. The 650 holley is about 6 months on the rebuild. It was running great until a few days ago. I have not changed anything.

I checked all my vacuum lines today, they are ok. The car seems to run better cold and has no idle surge until warm. Being in south florida the electric choke is not hooked up or used.

I double checked the mounting bolts on carb, good and tight.

Other than pulling the fuel tank and cleaning out all the lines and replacing tank do you have any ideas?

Thanks Rod

Oh also need power window motor for the LH front and a set of power window gang switches on drivers door.

Re: idle surge

Some surges come from carb base gasket leaks...

check your carb gaskets for leaks by starting the engine and spraying starter fluid around the base of the carb. if you're leaking, the vacuum will suck in the fluid and give you a surge
