Steering wheel problem
I bought a new repro. woodgrain deluxe steering wheel for my '66 Fairlane about 3 months ago. Just got around to install it and the damn thing doesn't fit right!!! It's a KS Reproductions listed to fit a 65-66 Mustang but was told (by someone) that it would work with my 66 Fairlane. It looks identicle to my orig wheel but the damn center hub chrome outer part hits the collar before the shaft goes through enough to get the nut back on. I guess the 65-66 Mustang is different? Should I have got the '67 Mustang part number?

The column is adjustable in and out with the slots in the mounting to the dash. The shaft is stationary. Any chance pushing the column down will help?
