Pedals for a 66

I've pulled out the mechanical linkage for my 289 and I am going to replace them with a cable setup. My question is will a later model mustang throttle pedal and cable work. If so can I just but the Lokar set-up for a Mustang? They make a different pedal set-up for the early Mustangs and the 69-70 Mustangs.

I put the lokar pedal setup in my 69 using their kit for the 69 Mustang and it was damn near a direct bolt in. Here is a pic, I have more if you want.

ratfish.. I don't have any additional info for you, but if/when you go down that route, please let us know how it turns out. I too have a 66 and have been kickin around the idea of replacing the linkage with a lokar setup, to include pedal etc and would like to know how yours turns out, to include which kit you buy etc..
