66 Fairlane FE Header help Needed

What are some of you guys running??? I have a 66 GT and is getting a 427...want to run headers...what the heck fits...Thanks.

Hooker makes a set, Crites makes a set, and FPA (Ford Powertrain Applications) makes a set. I was going to buy a set of FPA's, but I pulled the FE out and installed a 429. I talked with a guy that was running a set of FPA's and he said he bolted the headers to the engine and set it in the car (66') all in one piece. It was tight, but he said it can be done. I still have a set of the Hookers that I had in my car that I have thought of selling. But, they are a pain to install.

I have FPA headers in my '66. They're nice because you can pull the engine with headers attached as they do not wrap around the frame as the Hookers and I think Crites headers do.
