67 rad?

Does anyone know if a rad from a 67 mustang would fit in a 64 comet?
Thanks in advance.

67 rad?

If the radiator is for a 67 289 it will probably fit. The 390 rad will be too wide. If I am not mistaken, most Ford 289/302 radiators were the same width (about 20&quot for all 64-70 SB Fairlane, Falcon, Mustang, etc. Of course, the 70 302 rad has the intake on the lower LH side. I had a 70 Mustang 302 radiator in my 65 Fairlane. I had to trim the lower corners of the mounting flanges, but it fit fine otherwise.

67 rad?

I have a 67 Mustang big block heavy cool radiator in my 64 Falcon...I had to cut the radiator support opening a couple inches on each side and install a Mustang upper rediator attachment panel to secure it in place. In addition the lower outlet is on the wrong side and required me to "custom build" a long and spliced lower hose. But this sucker keeps that engine cool! Running a 10 inch pusher cooling fan along with a aluminum flex fan for extra insurance.

67 rad?

Just went out and measured and a 67 stang with a 289/C4 and A/C is 22w x 21h. A stock 64 Comet 289/C4 is 19w x 20h. So it looks like the big thing is width. You would have to cut out most of the curved portion of the rad support that the stock rad bolts to. But anything is doable. Are you getting a 67 radiator for really cheep?

67 rad?

I called about the 67 rad and it is a big block version. The guy wants $125 cdn which is a pretty good deal, I think, that is if I want to get creative and make it fit and work with a small block. Any advice?
