Where can I find a fan shroud for a '69 falcon?

I've searching and searching, but I can't seem to find an original type fiberglass or molded plastic fan shroud for my 302 equipped '69 Falcon.

Does anybody know where I might find one?

Thanks in advance.

You might try the Mustang vendors. They all carry shrouds for many year models. Depends on the radiator size. Also, the Fairlane has the same engine compartment. So try Crites and Obsolete Ford Parts.

Thanks. Does the Mustang have the same relative radiator height and distance from the front of the engine? I've considered this, but I don't want to spend the bucks for something I can't use. I tried a Maverick shroud, but the opening is sligthly offset and the lip is too deep. Also, the '66 and '67 Fairlanes have a slightly narrower radiator.

I hope this thread can help anuone else in the same boat. Thanks again to anyone with any more info.

I found a company in West Austrailia that has fiberglass repops. They are called Superoo Falcon Spares.

http://www.superoo.com.au/xrxy.htm

And they ship to the US. Guy named Daniel has been really helpful, providing me with dimensions and other assistance via e-mail. I just ordered the shroud, can't wait 'til it gets here. Summer has begun and the traffic and temperatures are on the rise. I look forward to being able to idle in gridlock without breaking into a nervous sweat.

I know, I know, an electric fan would be the way to go, but it would ruin the old-school-"oh,-it's-stock" vibe I've got going with the less perceptive.

On my 302 Sports Coupe there is no radiator shroud?

I had another 302 that I cut up last year and it did not have a shroud either.

Did some of them come with a shroud and others did not?

EDIT: I just looked at my '69 302 Falcon and it does have mounting holes that a shroud could hook up to. Maybe both of my 302 Falcons were stripped of the shrouds before I got them.

I've actually never seen one with a shroud, but as you say, the holes are always there.

I'm just tired of watching the needle move at speeds below 10mph. I knew there had to be one out there, somewhere. And Austrailia seems to be where.

I have the same problem and I don't have a fan shroud on my 65 Comet either. I am considering going with a clutched style factory fan and a shroud to help keep it old school also.

Please keep us up dated on your results. TIA.

James

Check out www.mustangsteve.com for some pics of a '69 Mustang radiator with shroud he installed in his early Mustang. It looks like the radiator and shroud should work on a Falcon/Comet also. The parts are sold by various Mustang parts places.

Due to supply problems, it took a while, but I finally got my shroud today. Looks like a really nice piece. It even has the ford part numbers. And my 18" thermo fan should be the perfect size. Hopefully, I'll get some time to slap it in this weekend and cruise the rest of the summer without a fear. I'll keep you posted.
