my car ran well this weekend

well i think sacramento raceway is a joke i mean i only got one run in and i was their since 11 am and i got to run at like 2:30 they let all the top fuel car (meaning the people with money) run more then the street cars. but it was my first time andi guess u leanr from that. well my car ran a 15.1 at 88mph

here iw what my time slip looks like

reaction: 1.134
I1: 2.234
I2: 6.287
I3: 9.637
mph (I3) 70.963
I4: 12.633

E.T: 15.182
MPH: 88.940

it was a gret improvement i think since my last E.T. was a 16.5 and all i changed was rearend gear from a 2.8 open to a 3.25 posi with and upgrade to a torquer intake and a 600cfm holly carb going to be building a new mtor so i will have E.T.s when that one is done in my new car but if you got any ideas on what i can do now on the 289 i got let me know anytihng will help.

Good going that’s a nice decrease in time to start with.
Well i wouldn’t tear it apart just yet. One run does not mean that that’s the fastest its going to run you could play with tire pressure timing just to start with. Yeah a set of headers and free flowing exhaust. Change the cam. Jet the carb. Make spacers for the back of your hood to let air pass through easier. The list could just keep going.

yea i do have electronic ignition and i have an automatic trans but i does slip when going from 2nd to 3rd gear i'm going to replace the trany with a higher stall speed and a shift kit i think i am going ot go with a manual valve body. and yea the one run doesn't realy show anything but i thought it was an improvement from the last time i went and i thihk i will play with the timing again and the tire pressure next time.
