LOOK WHAT I FOUND (STOLE IT I THINK}

HI
I do have one probluem Theres a strong smell of fuel inside the car??? Now it has the vacuum powered wipers and the line runs through the fuel pump (some kind of booster). Could this be the sorce?? and Can I just install a vacuum can and eleminate that hook up. and maybe run the lines frome the pump to the air filter to eleminate those fumes???

looks in better shape than my 60 Falcon did. Looks very solid. The Falcon always smelled like gas, because the carb seals leaked a little.

I like that car. Lots if potential. Check the gas tank filler hose in the trunk,it might be leaking causing the gas smell.Some early Falcons and Comets had electric wipers which will bolt right in.

nice find. Rewroute the line for the wipers and check the filler neck hose. Also check the gas line from the tank to the carb for any leaks. You have the start of something great.

Love those Comets !!

My 62 Falcon has a vent hose for the gas
tank, I assume the Comets did/do as well.
If clogged, that could contribute to the
fuel odor.

HI ALL
I found the smell the gas tank has sever holes in the top of it. rusted out.. as a temperary fix I used some of that quick steel puddy. Is there a better way to fix or will I be better of just replaceing it..
Hay CoolFalcoon on rewrooting the vacuum line for the wipers should I use a vacuum can to keep some boost in it.?
