Dunno if you can see the ugly Granada in the background but I'm buying it tomorrow. (70k original miles)
Things I plan to steal from the Granada...
1) Front disks (w/ power)
2) Spindles
3) 250 in-line 6 (for now)
4) C4
5) 8 inch rear
6) A/C
7) Power buckets (re-done in tweed/vinyl sans headrests)
Rear bench (stock bench is 4" wider but I know the upholstry guy can work some magic)
9) Wheels and tires (till I can find cool 5 lug steelies)
What a great day... I'm so amped about this project right now (even though I haven't done much)! I was reading a hot rod rag tonight and they said something that made utter sense to me. Something along the lines that it is important to some people for the car to look like it is "in-progress"... this really clicked because driving the Comet around felt kinda lame because I hadn't done anything to it... I lowered it 3" and sanded primed/painted the wheels and all of a sudden the damn thing feels like it's mine. Dunno if I'm loseing you all but it's just a cool feeling to connect with the car, finally.
My buddy from work said I can park the grenade at his house and keep the Comet there too while we rip into it... this is exciting! The car has a FUNKY stance now but I kinda like it, again more pics to come.
