Why won\'t it fit???

I've heard from so many people that the Crites leaf spring relocators won't fit on the roundbodys, but they never say why. So I'm hoping someone can fill me in.

I emailed them directly and they told me it would not fit. They did not give me any reasons, so it may be an easy fix for someone with some fabrication skills. But if you have to do to much, you may as well make the whole thing from scratch.

Yeah that's what I'm taking about. I was hoping to dig up some photos of the actual part mounted, to see where the problems might be. The only thing I can think would be a problem would be clearing the gas tank. But I'm planning on getting a fuel cell anyways. If it comes down to it I'll probably just buy the kit and see what happens next.

I got a few pics that were sent to me from another member of the Forum. I can't remember who and I can't remember what car it is on, but it will give you an idea of what it looks like. If you want I can e-mail them to you.

Just Jim did this by himself on his '62 Falcon and he likes it. Maybe he'll share pictures and directions.

Here's more on the subject:http://www.fordmuscle.com/phpBB/view...9&start=15

I think Competiton Engineering makes a kit for an early Nova/Camaro that might work but am not sure.

I've seen Just Jim's custom spring relocators, I just don't trust my welding skills enough to fab up suspension parts. So I'm outta luck, I guess I just need something that I(someone else) can build off of.

Since you have a bottomless money pit why not buy a nice MIG welder and a 4 1/2inch angle grinder and have at it?Just a thought. It isn't that hard to do.
Happy Holidays,
Jim
