f.s. 63\' futura hardtop 260 t-10 many pics, x-tra clean

This is a 1963-1/2 ford falcon Futura. It has a 260 v8 backed with the Borg Warner T-10 4 speed Hurst with a 3.25 8” rear end. The engine runs strong and was just dis-assembled and re-assembled with new gaskets (no leaks) at that time the entire engine bay was prepped and painted body color. The 260 runs strong with no smoke. The timing chain, the water pump, plugs wires battery, battery cables, starter solenoid and front shocks were all replaced. The 260 sports the original 2 bbl carb and iron intake. It breathes through Shelby style tri-y headers to build torque and sound great. All aluminized 2-1/2 exhaust feeds into Flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber mufflers with turn downs. The ignition is a Mallory unilite with mechanical advance, and a high performance coil. The fuel comes from a Mallory electric fuel pump. The original generator was replaced with a 1 wire alternator conversion kit from Crites. The alternator is a new unit from Napa and is rated at 60A (this will handle your stereo, heater and wipers all at once unlike the generator). A K&N 13” air filter helps the 260 breath. The flywheel is a Weber aluminum and is linked to a diaphragm style clutch. This is a great falcon and I hate to sell it but I am getting married and need the money. This car is Not show quality but is close and it is a great clean dependable street/ strip cruiser. Several times I have been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic with the temp well above 90 and I have never had a problem period. The car rides tight on the highway, over bumps everywhere. Before restoration the car was 95% rust free. Now is 100% no rust in the quarters, floors torque boxes or frame (see photos). If you want to see anything not photographed I can send it to you just ask. Watch out for converted 6cyl cars they are multiplying quickly! Get yourself a real factory v-8 car! This car is 98% complete and needs very little!

Very clean indeed! My other car is a 64 Dart convertible. The thing I really like about mopars is that the engine compartment is the same color as the body making for some really cool engine and engine compartment color contrasts. That yellow really makes the motor pop, nice job. -shane
