Would Anyone Be Interested In High Quality Stainless Gas Tanks?

I am polling some of you as I am thinking of building stock type replacement gas tanks for Falcons. They would be of the same size, and would be held in with stainless straps, and use the stock type filler assembly. There would be options such as in-tank pumps and drag race style rear sumps, as well as a mini tubbed version. I already build a Mustang tank but I want to build some Falcon tanks.

Yep I'm interested.
It would be nice to have one with a 3/8" bung fitting for a vent in the top (opposite of the fill hose), another 3/8" bung fitting in the top for a return line, and a 3/8" bottom feed line.
Needs to have the stock fuel level sender accommodations also.
Let me know if you decide to make these things and about how much $$$

They will have the appropriate bungs in the right places, as well as a 1/2" bung for the fuel line.

I would be interested in one for my 64 Falcon Sprint with the features already discussed. Let us know on price range and if it will be stock capacity or larger.

Most Napa stores and several Automotive Paint stores sell a sealant by the quart thats calles "fuel Tank Liner" It's pure urethane more or less. Sandblast the outside of the tank and use some puddy like epoxy called "magnum Steel" or any super hard 2 part clay type epoxy to fill and seal off the holes. When it dries all you do is pour this Tank sealer into the tank and roll it around until it's fully coated on the inside (1/2 qt. did my 49 Club Coupe's tank) then pour out the excess, and let stand 24 hrs. Done! Gasoline will not touch it! After that just paint your tank and put it back.

Hope this helps you save some money!

FE

P.S. If done right you won't have to worry about anymore rust.

Also, Eastwood and the makers of POR-15 each have their own products for sealing tanks with pinhole leaks. But, if you have a lot of them you might do better by biting the bullet and buying a new one.
