got a question...

... regaurding front springs. since the age of 18 (now 26), ive been tinkering with all my friends fox body 5.0s and we usualy used 4 cylinder springs up front for drag racing. would the same idea (using 6 cyl. springs) work for my sbf powered comet? all replies, ideas, and/or product info welcome. thanks all.

got a question...

The later model 6 cylinder and some of the V8 springs are the same. Probablyneed to figure a rate, then look for a spring. Moroso has some Tricks that may work. The ones I run with the 351C have the same rating as the stock 289 springs. And they do not let the front down at all. Right at about normal ride height.

got a question...

I think that the springs for 64/65 falcons and comets are the same.
When I converted my U code 6 cyl. falcon to a 302 the ride height did not change. after putting on aluminum heads and intake and a fglass hood the front end is about 1 1/2" higher (took off well over 100lbs.) and the car has a bit of reverse rake to it. I plan on cutting 1/2 a coil to drop it back down.
The same should apply to the comet. If it is a 6cyl car leave in the springs and see how it looks/ride with the V8. you can always get another set if you have to.
Just fyi, I have heard that the mustang 1" drop springs won't lower a falcon the same way they do the mustangs probably the same for the comet if you thought of going that route.

Let's go brother. TA is closed for the season, no 60 foot times or mph. DD has the clocks running on fridays though.
I have no idea exactly how fast this thing is going to go since I got it back on the road. 3 weeks ago I took out The RBH racing camaro, and somebody's firechicken, before i lost to bottle bills cobra. Only one car length and he's running a 150 shot.
