Fun Ford Weekend results

Turned out to be a really fun wekend. Car ran well posting a best ET of 11.41 @ 116 MPH.
Saturday weather turned cold and track was gone so all cars still in after the first round got $120 each. The FFW crew has a lot of class, other promoters would have said "SEE-YA" can't help the weather. Hat's off to them.

Sunday started out just plain weird. The weather was good enough to run in the mid 11.40s, but the car decided to run in the 11.54 and 11.58 in time trials? WTF
So threw out the weather data from the day before and dialed an 11.57 for round 1. You already know the story, I backed off the throttle at the MPH stripe and still ran 11.46!!!!!
The car is a WOMAN??
From then on it got better. Bought back in for $25 and the next round got paired up with Greg Dreyer from CA. ( The Stock and Super Stock champ in Division 7).
The lights told the story, I had an .001 and he had a .041.
Yes!!! one in the bank.
Anyhow to cut this short, I went on three more rounds and had to run my friend who drove up from Tucson with me in the final.
We agreed to split regardless of the outcome so we ran for braggin rights. I red-lite and ran 11.534 on an 11.53 dial.
Anyway, we both pocketed another $700, so the total for the weekend was $820.

Good going! You sure showed them. I've been seeing Greg Dreyer race since he used to run the Friday night High School brackets at LACR in the mid '90's. He's killer on the tree but you done bettter. Cool.
