Motor Mounts

This has probably been discussed many times......anyone know of a "better than stock quality" motor mount for a 64 Falcon/302. Total Control Products has one on backorder for at least a month.....BUT, don't want to wait that long. Would prefer poly....but, will use solid if that's all that's available.

You can put a bolt through the stock mount like this and it won't break. We use these on our track cars and none have failed.

Our '65 coup with a Cleveland motor held in place by these mounts.

Yes, depending on how tight you make the added bolt. This mod to the mount and a torque strap will stop the motor from moving around. It is also a lot cheaper than the aftermarket mounts. We make the bolt 'just tight' for street cars and use a torque strap plus a 'tighter bolt' for a track car. I see a lot of this at the track.
