Engine Identification
Does anyone know how to identify the engine in the 68 Falcon? According to the VIN on the chasis it should be a 289 2V. After 37 years and who knows how many owners before us I would like to verify it. I am hoping there is a better way than pulling the starter to see the casting number located there.

Not really. And in 68, it could very well be a 289 block casting with 302 internals, direct from Ford. If there's a tag on the motor that might tell us something. Likely not.
