Junkyard Cruising

I wanted something to do today, so I decided to hit a few Junkyards. I'm in Vancouver, WA, so I swung by All American Classics. After walking through sections upon sections of Chebbies, I happened upon the area for Falcons. Lo and behold, there lie not one, but TWO '66 Falcon Wagons, a car I love and would love to have someday. Of course, it would have taken both of them at least to build a single running one, but it would be worth it! Unfortunately, it seems they don't sell cars from the Yard.

The friend I was with said he's never seen me happier.

I actually ran and jumped over something to get to it.

There was also a 67 Falcon two-door, with decent front fenders. I want the fenders, because of the two indents on both sides. I think they look pretty cool, and would look even better on the Ranchero.

Funny about stat laws, I bought a 64 Tudor Wagon from the junkyard. http://bellsouthpwp.net/1/b/1bad6t/p..._64_wagon.html

I tell you, if I had the money and they were selling them, I'd buy them BOTH.

I love junkyards and I spend much too much time there, we go with a generator and sawsall now. 67 fenders are the best, just got some today infact got a whole parts car, had to travel for it though but it has all the parts I needed, now all I need to find is time. That ranchero would look good with those fenders. You may be able to make a deal with the yard, we made one a while back we offered one price for whatever we could snatch of several cars and they told us to go for it, most of what they have is sold for scrap and if they sell some stuff off the car before its gravy to them

I found a Junkyard with about 10 or 12 Crown Vic cop cars ready to pick over.

I hear the alternator will kick out some serious amps. (about 200 amps) I find this a bit shocking, is this true?

Are they equipped with oil coolers, if so, is it water or air cooled? Will it fit on a 289?

What would be some more goodies to get for the cruisers?

Snag the 67 fenders - they are hard as hell to find in decent condition. How would I know...
