67 coupe

going to sell my 67 coupe project to devote all my time to the 64. I have been gathering parts for it but it seems to be taking valuable assets from the 64(time and cash)and I seem to come accross stuff for the 64 more than the 67, The 64 is comming along nicely though as far as I can see I have just about everything I need except time and space, I recently picked up a pair of 64 comet bumpers and they look good on the car slightly different than falcon but you can't really notice unless you are a gotta-be-stock guy but so much has been altered on it now god couldn't return it to stock. I will be dropping in the engine shortly but probaly won't drive it this season cause I haven't settled on what I am going to do with the rear suspention yet so I will list the 67 in the classifieds maybe somebody is interested

IMHO - you're not goiing to generate much interest at your $1500 price point.

I'm in massachusetts I have a bit into this project, one coupe one 4dr, floorpans and toe boards, 66 galaxie xl buckets ,back seat, console and shifter, a 69 grill and bezels, disc brake set up, big block springs, plus travel expense to new jersey for parts car, the coupe is solid except for front floor pans which were removed by previous owner the 4dr is solid except for some qtr rust and has the complete air conditioning(factory) and I mean everything ,plus other parts depending on what eng/trans goes in, so what I'm asking is what I'm asking you go out and gather all this stuff see what you have in it......too many people telling others what they should or should not do.....in the future MYOGDB

Wow.

Chris has been around our late-model Falcons for years and was just trying to be honest with you about your asking price.

The value of a forum such as this is not just to help you sell your cars and parts. The real value is sharing information and connecting with other people who have a common interest - hotrods, cars, and Falcons.

Lighten up! Chris wasn't attacking you or being judgemental. He was trying to help you sell your car! If you don't like or want his advice, then just ignore it.

Sadly, what we invest in our cars in terms of time and money may have little value to the next person. I've got about $35K in my Falcon and I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch if someone tells me it's only worth $10K.

Sorry to break this to you - I have tons of stuff that might cost bundles to replace, but most of it ain't worth much. Let me rephrase - if you want $1500 for that collection of stuff, you should part it out. Sell the Galaxy stuff to some Gal folks and shop the 69 grill to someone with a 69 car. To a late model Falcon person - all you have is a mis-mash of stuff on a 67 body. FWIW - Last parts car I bouught was a 4 door, had lots of good stuff on it including a grill, fenders, gas tank, etc - $100. As for your travel time, what you have in it, etc - don't expect a refund. I've got about $20K in mine - I might get $6K for it whole, maybe more in pieces. Now, being that you are in the NE where rust is a real problem, you should have better luck selling the non rusted parts. But the bottom line is - late model Falcon stuff doesn't bring much. The only part on a Falcon that seems to be worth a lot is an NOS grill, and the earlier the model the more $$$. I can lay my hands on a dozen 60-63's, I know of one 64 under a carport and there are 3 66 up in the big local wreckers but two of those are really crunched up.

Not many people build 67 up and there are few repop parts for them. Which would ordinarily make the existing parts worth more, but a lot of people - after investigating parts availability - will dump a 68 and go for a 65 or 62. Just like you.

PS - I posted a link to your ad on TFFN. Maybe someone in that area has a need.
