Need a hood latch spring measurement or supplier.

I need a favor of all favors.
I lost my hood latch spring on my 67 Falcon somewhere while blasting down the freeway. When it hapened, my hood popped up against the safety latch and scared the crap out of me. When I looked at the latch, the little spring that holds the gismo together was gone.

If I remember correctly, it's about 1.5-1.75 " long maybe 2", and about 1/4" to 3/8" in diameter.

The measurement I need is: overall length and wire thickness.
I cannot find a replacement spring by application anywhere so if anyone has supplier information I would greatly appreciate it.
