Where can i find lowering blocks for my early Falcon?

Now that I am back to 4 leaf rear springs and like the ride, I want to drop it back down 2 - 3". Who makes lowering blocks for the early Falcon leaf springs? Mine's a '61.

Thanks.

I made my own 2 x 2" wide blocks since I couldn't find any blocks locally. Just used square tubing 1/4" thick. Off course you need to drill a hole and either weld or bolt a rounded off bolt to the top of the block to keep everything aligned properly.

It worked great. Since my rearend was almost 3/16" off center to the passenger side, I just moved the welded on bolts up top over and now my rear is just about perfectly centered(in relation to the gap between the outer tire and body.

Vince,
You can try NPD, they have a 1/2" and a 1" I believe that they make for Mustangs. I used the 1" blocks from them in the interim till I get my rear leafs sorted out.
You can also think outside the box and go to a 4WD shop. They lift them up we bring down. Try Dirty Parts in City on Washington Blvd. they should have something for you.
Or what MC said in the precocious post. I made a set years ago on my first Falcon except I did not weld the U bolts to the differential.

Starting in 64, mustangs/falcons and the rest went to a 2 1/2" wide leaf while the earlier falcons utilized the 2" wide leafs.

If you find a source for 2" lowering blocks, post it here. THansk, Chris

Interesting fact, I guess all birds of a feather are not equal.
2" wide blocks are not easy to find but then these things are not that complex. If you were to just purchase a solid 2" X 2" bar stock of aluminum, have them cut to length, drill a hole and place an index pin or Allen head bolt as they did on these you will be good to go. Or buy the 2 1/2" solids from these guys or some one else and have them shaved to 2" removing 1/4 equally on each side.

Thanks everyone. Yeah Daniel, the later birds are different from the early ones as far as leafs go. I just may fabricate them. My buddy has access to all of that stuff and knows how to machine things. Okay, thanks!

Vince: I'm pretty sure '55-'57 Chevys had 2 inch wide springs. Lowering blocks like these should do it.

$29.99 including U Bolts, it wouldn't pay to make your own.

As others have suggested, an easy option is the steel rect tubing which as shown in the picture is 2" x 3" x 1/4".

Cut to length, then drilled thru for the bolt w/ the rounded head and painted gray, as shown in the pic. Works fine.
