Qtr panel question

Can a qtr panel from a 64 4door (moredoor) be adapted to a 64 hardtop? And if so where is the best place and tool to hack it off if it is in an off site area. Battery operated sawzall? Can a good body mad hide any seams that are not hidden by the trim? It seems to me that it would be best to try and hide the seams under the side trim but what about the areas where there is none? Anyone had any experience with this?
I found a four door and can get the qtrs for under 200.00 for the pair.
I have another 64 Falcon that I had in High School and had given it to my Son. And we took it on as a Father an Son project to get it back up and going after being parked for more years that I care to recount. Well it was rear ended in a hit and run about one and a half years ago and has been parked ever since. The car has too much history and he does not want to part ways with it, so it is getting close to time to do something with it.
Thanks,
