California Performance

Still researching Panhards and rear suspension set up. On the phone today with Walt Hane, Bill Maier from Maier Racing, tried to get hold of Tom @ Delta Bay but they happen to be closed today. Ended up with this guy Stan this afternoon from California Performance. Has mid 7sec. Falcon. And a great guy as we hit it off. Stan sells a lot more stuff for Falcons and Mustangs then he seems to have on his site.

Also another on of my contact which is how I got to Stan is Russ Wall of Wall to Wall Falcon Parts located in Azusa CA. 626 969-8157. He deals in new and used parts for Falcons, Ranchero, Comets and more.
I have a binder full of Falcon contacts from legit businesses on line to Falcon guys that I know that scavenge Falcon parts and sell at local swap meets. Got my center link from one of these contacts for 75.00 when I was building my front end.
Previously on this site some one once mentioned the creation of data base for contacts (and I have seen this feature on others) that we can submit to and pull up by logging on to the site. There are Falcon, Ranchero, Comet contacts all over this country. You guys have your, I have mine and we know some of the same besides the usual. I really like those back yard Falcon contacts. I found a set of complete full qtrs for 250.00 ea. from one. I also have a guy I know up in Washington that has a barn full of Falcon parts, he not too internet savvy so no one knows.
What do you think FM? Same goes for Mustangs, Galaxies, Fairlanes Mavericks...Conflict with the paid advertisers???
Another nice Feature would be a notice that goes direct to your private email when a response has been made in a post that you have replied to. After several days have gone by and if you have chimed in to several posts, you sometimes forget exactly just which ones you were on. Is it age?

I don't see how building a database of contacts for used parts would be in conflict with the advertisers on this site. All of the advertisers here carry new parts as far as I know. And the 3 banner ads I'm looking at now aren't even for Falcon parts in the first place. And since this site has a classifieds forum we know they don't mind us trading amongst ourselves using their bandwitdth. I'd run it by a moderator before you post a database up, or we can put together an E-mail list of the forum regulars (since there are only about 10 of us) and just communicate about it via e-mail if the forum won't allow a database.

I'm all for used parts as I want my car to look period correct. I can't make it out to junkyards too often, so buying online or over the phone would be great.

My uncle has an entire '65 Mustang and most of 2 Corvairs in his shed, all in boxes just gathering dust. If I get to see him soon I'll talk with him about posting some stuff up for sale.

Great idea - I would certainly be interested in the collective knowledge + the private email on a comment to a post would be great.

No idea what to do with them just yet. Would be nice as I mentioned if this site had a place where they could all be posted but I think that is not going to happen.
Might have to create a deposit box that they could all be dropped into then organize them attach to a web page or create its own?
I have been way to side tracked to get back on it but will follow up as time allows.
