66 Falcon Turn Signal Indicators

I'm almost embarrased to ask this..Almost...Where in the devil are my turn signal indicators? I'm still wiring up my generic replacement wiring harness and I'll be dammed if I know where the turn signal indicators are. I'm talking about the ones that are in the gauge cluster. Between having a bastardized dash board & no wiring diagram, I'm at a loss. I do have a 66 Fairlane and a 66 Mustang wiring diagram, but the dash boards are different.

Re: 66 Falcon Turn Signal Indicators

From looking at the dash of a 66 Falcon on Ebay, it look like they are on the upper part of the cluster, one on each side of the Speedometer.

Re: 66 Falcon Turn Signal Indicators

I appreciate that, but I thought that the slot in the middle was for the bright light indicator...Maybe not.

Re: 66 Falcon Turn Signal Indicators

The bright light indicator is on the speedometer face up above and between the 60 and 70 mph markers.

Re: 66 Falcon Turn Signal Indicators

Got, I appreciate your help, but I don't have a hi-beam indicator on my speedo face, in fact there are only two wires running to the back of the speedo, both are light blue with a red stripe (instrument panel lights). One is just above the 40 MPH mark and the other is right behind the odometer.

Is it possible that both indicators (left and right) illuminate the same light? The 'slot' right in the middle of the dash right between the two gauge clusters?

Both of my wiring diagrams (Mustang and Fairlane) show the left hand turn signal indicator powered by a green wire with a white stripe and the right hand indicator powered by a white wire with a blue stripe. BOTH of these wires go to the socket right in the center of the dash. One goes into the center of the socket while the other clips on a male connector kind of 'dog eared' off of the hack of the housing socket (looks like a ground connection).

Also, is it possible that the high beam indicator is in the left hand slot above the wiper controls? Again, both wiring diagrams show a green wire with a black stripe powering the high beam indicator & my green/black wire goes to the slot on the left hand side of the dash, above the wiper controls.

Can any of you late model Falcon owners help a brotha out? Murff??

Re: 66 Falcon Turn Signal Indicators

There is only one indicator light on the dash for both turn signals on the older Falcons.
