Re: 64 comet caliente
I had them on my Falcon, but not sure what you're asking about the exhaust pipes.
Where are you located?

Re: 64 comet caliente
Nope....
Hedman used to put in their advertisments their equipment was manufactured for an Auto-trans. I have talked to folks who say they don't clear even the factory Auto-trans shifting linkage, unless you own one of the BIG cars.
I would assume then for any of the small cars then you need one of the cable operating systems.
You are going to be in for some pounding then.

Re: 64 comet caliente
Hedman shorty headers will fit, Part # 88400. I have these on a 65 falcon. There was some mods that had to be done on the drivers side.

Re: 64 comet caliente
The 88400 is suppose to be a direct fit for the comet/falcon setup. Most people don't have a single problem at all. However, I did. Mine would not fit on the drivers side because of the z bar linkage set up. The guy that installed them modified the header tubes so that they would fit. No big deal really. If I remember correctly maybe the 88400 are for an automatic trans, Not a manual. I really can't remember, But you shouldn't have any problems.

Re: 64 comet caliente
I did have to ding mine to clear the steering sector arm and the passenger side ended up being very close to the firewall with the down pipe.
They were a tight fit, but few others seem to fit without a problem or two.
