Don't use the Mustang centerlink... its too wide...use a 65 Falcon centerlink. 63-64 centerlink is different and requires different parts that cost 3-4 times as much to complete the swap. It's cheaper to buy Mustang parts than Falcon parts even though they are the same parts. You will need upper and lower control arms, ball joints, inter and outer tie rods, adjustment sleeve, pitman arm, idler arm, backing plate, wheel cylinders, brake shoes (and brake hardware), sway bar, steering stops and possible more parts that I can't think of at the moment. See
Falcon '6cyl to V8' for other issues doing this swap
Use a trans mount made to put a C4 in a Falcon

The small block V8 weighs only 75 lbs than a small 6 cylinder. Using tube headers instead of cast iron exhaust manifolds, aluminum intake instead of cast iron intake, alternator instead of generator and your close to the same weight where you started out. The 6 cyl also carry the weight on top of the front wheels where a V8 sit more to the rear of the wheels taking the weight with it. I used the 6 cylinder suspension for 25 years with a V8 with no problem. Just don't go 4 wheeling off road. The only draw back is 4 lug up front and 5 in the rear so you don't want a flat tire without the correct spare. I carried a can of Fix-a-Flat but never had to use it. Only flats I got was in the driveway
