Barn find 61 Falcon

Must be the time of year for barn finds (the're still out there!) Just scored a 61 Falcon ex drag car with a straight axle (the price would make you cry). it's an empty shell and it's almost as straight as my 62. the wheelwells are already radiused (somewhat hack job but not brutal) It might be more economical to build this car instead of the clean sixtytwo. might have a clean, 62 for sale.

this guy also had a 4 speed 67 camaro stripped out but tubbed, tubed, narrowed and caged with all the parts minus powertrain for 1500. My buddy grabbed that one.

Hard to get all the needed stuff to re-assemble but that's the BEST find so far!

My camera still takes 35mm rolls! haha! um it took me a week or so to get my friends over to shoot my 62, so when i get the 61 home, we'll get some shots. (waiting on tax money) not sure if i want to build the 61, swap the front of the 61 onto the 62 (including strait axle), Oooooor swap just the sheetmetal onto the 62 and four link it/drop it. hmmmmm.....help?

I have yet to get a Falcon but hope to trade for one this weekend. Then I'll get to play the decision-making game too.

only bad thing making the 61 a less than ideal car is that it's been a no title drag car for over 20 years through the last 3 owners before me. i might try to file for a title- then i might just sell the 62 (which is in a little better shape but they are both nice.

just found out that i can title the 61 falcon! In Kansas ( yes dorothy) any car that is over 35 years old only needs a bill of sale to be titled. they will either title it with your vin or issue you a vin (like on homebuilts) that can be riveted to the car. anyone need to bring a car to kansas to get a title? looks like i'll probably selling the better looking 62 falcon instead of cutting it up (the car actually looks pretty nice) has the running original engine/3speed still.
