I would use aluminum for the fuel line, as it is pretty cheap, and you won't have to worry about it rusting, buy a tubing bender and bend up a nice hardline where the stock on ran, to connect the rubber hose between the hardline make a bubble flare or just a single flare will work, no need to take the time on a double flare. on the brake line either steel or for a little more cash copper nickel alloy available at Napa and its alot easier to work with and will never rust, you will have to make 45 degree double flares to connect them to the brake fittings.
