Tight exhaust

I have a 64 two door hardtop. I put disc brakes up front, 3.80 8", 289 with 351 heads and basically have replaced every nut and bolt on it. My question is about headers. Will mustang headers fit? I've installed a McCleod hydraulic release bearing so the linkage isn't in the way. It just seems to have very little clearance between head and shock tower. Or do I have to use Falcon specific headers? I tried a set of 5.0 shorty's; not even close. Anyways, any feedback is mucho appreciato.

Re: Tight exhaust

Talk to Stan @ FPA. Recently listed a new header specific to smallblock '64-'65 Falcons.
Good guy to deal with... excellent designs/products that actually fit and don't hang down.
