Re: Widest wheels..."My plan for the sedan"

A good friend of mine went to china to adapt a baby. He was there for 3 weeks and lost 15 pounds. He was in a poor part of the country and he said the food was Really bad and this guy will eat almost anything. He also said it was so hot and humid that he never felt like eating.

Re: Widest wheels..."My plan for the sedan"

Your friend is right on the money.

I am in southern China in Zhuhai which is what is called an "economic zone" and the standard of living is higher than in a true village setting. It is still rediculously low compared to western standards though. I have found that at about 10 days your threshold of patience is crossed and all you want to do is go home.

This time it is a bearable 82 degrees and 75% humidity....last time I was here it was 104 degrees and 93% humidity. Very brutal to be in if you are not used to it. Also as you drink a ton of bottled water to keep up you can't help but wonder if water company also produces lead or mercury or? and is there any cross contamination.....

The food here is not my scene. It does not taste like the kind of chinese food we have in Canada or the USa.

I am leaving tomorrow. Not a moment too soon.

I will say that shopping here is pretty great and the prices you can bargain down to is amazing. I bought a very neat dual sim card unlocked cell phone, 4 pairs of prescription for less than $250usd.

Re: Widest wheels..."My plan for the sedan"

Mild update - Just received my C6 crossmember from Crites - nicely engineered. I also bought some early 427 valve covers and am going to paint them the stock early FE gold color. I am going to paint the motor black as well before installing.

Will post a couple of pics soon of the progress.

Seems like it is getting harder to find time to do anything with the car recently.....

Re: Widest wheels..."My plan for the sedan"

In case anyone is interested in what the crites C6 falcon/comet crossmember looks like. I am using it to locate the front to back location of the motor/trans and then making the motor mounts to fit. Their motor mounts won't work for me because I am using the mustang II front end.
