There is a perfect, wave free, trunk lid on my car. It's not for sale though. That moredoor of yours looks like it has at least 122,000 miles or 222,000 not just 22,000. You do know there is no 100,000 digits on old speedos, right?

Yes I do know... And I fully understand that you will also believe when I post my pictures...

It has the ORIGINAL left headlight with the Ford stamp. Galvy screws with all the galvanization still on them, the shock tower bolts are rust free and all original, the suspension is all original, but getting replaced anyway, the upper control arm shafts are squeaky on the right but as movement free as brand new.

Plus lot's more identifiers. I'm convinced That's all that matters.

Too bad your deck lid isn't for sale, I'd almost give you real money for it

Re: Anyone have a decklid for a 61 Falcon?

Funny you should mention the head light. My car had a working pair of original FoMoCo headlamps which I replaced a few years ago with halogens to see better. The working 40+ year old Ford headlights are worth nothing compared to the T3 or whatever they are the GM resto freaks pay big bucks for.

I know, but original is original.... I believe, and that's all that's necessary...

Cool Re: Anyone have a decklid for a 61 Falcon?

I have a hood and fender for a 64 Fairlane. if that would help any?

And I might have few FoMoCo headlights for cheap.

I could use the Fairlane fender as a hood but it would look like a blower was sticking up out of it

Re: Anyone have a decklid for a 61 Falcon?

FE, I did a search for 61 falcon trunk lids on Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market and saw ten listings. There is one in Vancouver, WA, one in Portland and one in Ukiah, CA.

I'm checking with someone I know that may have one. I'll post back here when I find out. Jon

Re: Anyone have a decklid for a 61 Falcon?

I've tried car parts.com before with magnificently dreary results...

I found one at Bob's in Portland, one at All American in Vancouver (not likely to be there, they have a poor inventory schedule), and one in Lewiston Idaho...

I'd rather buy from one of us here simply because I trust most of you. Plus, I'd not have to drive 4 hours just to look at it...

I'm going to throw a small repair on this one.

It has lacquer primer and paint over the poorly repaired spot, likely from backing up into a mailbox 30 years ago...

I just didn't want to go through the hassle. If Jon can find one in or near Marysville I'll go snatch it up if it's in decent condition.
