Re: crossmember
One of the other members posted the other day, That he bought a NOS Mustang II crossmember off of a guy on EBay. And that the guy has another one listed on there now. Was either $150 or $170.

Re: crossmember
I guess I should have asked which cross member he was referring to.

Re: crossmember
Be sure to do some research on the sellers. and what is to be after you convert to rack & pinion. There's no turning back. Also know that the set up will lower the car...don't know if that is a wanted result for you. Other guys are happy with the set up.
I did my 64 Falcon with a rack form the OLD Total Control company before they merged/got bought out by Alston (or vice versa) It was for a Mustang, but it fit my Falcon with the Granada spindles perfectly. I made my own platform for the rack out of 2" square tubing & it mounts just behind my front sump oil pan allows the oil pan to be removed. I think the rack kits have you use a rear sump, so you may have to change the oil pan. I wanted to put in a 427" based on a windsor block & aussie heads but there was no room for the headers. RRS has a kit that removes the upper A-arm on the shock towers that faces the engine and a kit for a coi- over suspension that uses the lower A-arm as usual but uses the top of the shock tower as its mounting point....thus eliminating the upper A-arm & providing the room for the headers. I am very happy with it. The kit also comes with a new rearward facing spindle-to-rack mount that the rack mounts to perfectly and also comes with big disc brakes. The other racks uses the Mustang II set up where the spindle arm mounts to the rack facing the front of the spindle instead of the rear of the spindle as the stock Falcon. Jusr be sure to think it through. Good Luck.
