Re: The Rosedale Rocket

Chrysler Hemi drag springs. The '002''s, both right hand side, to even out the back. These, along with the relocation kit. They'll settle quite a bit, but the Super Stock one settle even more.

Re: The Rosedale Rocket

If you buy the both rights, you should have car sitting somewhat straight. When I mini-tub the Chryslers, I always have to drill an extra mounting hole on the drivers side, to compensate for the left spring. It really puts the car crooked. So- Magnante and I always have used two rights to correct the lean. Seems to work fine.

Re: The Rosedale Rocket

Here's a couple update photos:

I decided to strech the rear opening six inches instead of the marked four, after deciding that it need more space for the thirty inch tall Firestone D.O.T. slick. Had the painter come over and do a once over, to see the FOUR PAINT JOBS I uncovered!! Yes, four different colors!! It was like stripping the side of a hundred year old house!! Original yellow, a nice shade of metallic green, and two different shades of red!!
I talked with Vic Edelbrock, a couple days ago at an event we both attended, and he recalled my altered wheelbase Dart at SEMA last year, and was gracious enough to ask if I needed assistance with some of their products. So, that helps out quite a bit, considering I was asked to have the car ready for the 2010 SEMA Show!!!!! I'm very humbled to be asked back, so it will hopefully give me the incentive to take the car up a few notches over the last one!! The clock is ticking now. I still do not know how these people who build a car in three or four weeks pull it off. It takes me about a year!!

I try to measure progress on geologic timeframes. I get it from my dad. He's finishing his 32 woodie wagon after a short 35 year frame off restoration.

Re: The Rosedale Rocket

I finally laid the rear end down on the ground, to check fitment with the Ford Nine inch, and I probably could have edged it closer to the inboard side, but with a thumbswidth, it should be safe. I still cannot fathom getting those huge by large Firestone dragster slicks in the wheelhouse without a mini-tub. No doubt, the Chrysler Hemi- springs will sag a bit, but I"ve already prepped the car for this contigency by drilling extra mounting holes in the front leaf perch. Now, I march on to the front. An extra challenge, marrying some of the components of the Speedway axle kit, with some of the vintage econoline parts. Hopefully in the next few days, it'll be ready to roll out into the sunshine!
