65 Falcon question

I need some info from you guys. Im a Galaxie guy buy always liked 64/65 Falcons.
I found one a few hours away from home and it looks REALLY solid underneath EXCEPT for one area on the drivers side floor. An area about 8 inches square right about in the center of the floor. Again, everything else under the car is really solid.

My questions is, are these Falcons prone to having cowl problems, i.e. leaks?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Chuck

Yep...they are just like the Mustangs and Mavericks when it comes to cowl leaks. Pour water in the cowl vent to check for leak. Pour water on the windshield to see if it leaks at the pinch weld. Don't use so much water to douche the cowl because it can't drain that fast and it will overflow the vent hat. Sometimes the cowl vent can be a easy fix...sometimes not. See Cowl Repair and Falcon Car Club WA I was very lucky and was able to fix my Maverick from under the dash with Por15 Putty.
