Re: Howdy folks.... NFG with a 66...

A big block will fit in that hole, same as the Fairlanes, right?

i always describe the car as.. if a cuda, a chevelle and mustang had three way sex... the 66 and up falcon would be what the offspring would look like...

i am still debating the engine... i have to do something though... this thing is too grandma for me....

Just don't do like a Moonshiner from a bordering county did in 1969 or 1970!!! He was being snitched on by a Moonshiner competitor (who he suspected of being the snitch) and got tired of all of his' cars that were carrying Moonshine being caught and the Moonshine being confiscated. So, this Moonshiner went out and purchased a very remote farm with a large barn which he had converted into a Moonshine Car Building Shop. When his' next load of Moonshine went out, he let the other Moonshiner know. Sure enough, the Revenuers were waiting for it. However, they made the mistake of turning their' Red Lights (yep, they still used them here back then) on and the Moonshine car quickly vanished before they could get the Interceptor onto the highway (Highway 321/73 in Cocke County). Two days later the car, a black 1950 Ford Sedan was found at a Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Sevier County. They found that the car had two perfectly balanced 429 Cobra Jet engines mounted in-line together, the Driver's seat was actually where the back seat should be and the firewall and everything else (dashboard, steering wheel, brake pedal, accelerator pedal, etc.) had been moved to where the front seat normally sits. Since the Moonshine and any evidence of it being in the car was long gone, the Revenuers could not impound the car and one of the Moonshiner's employees showed up with a Tow Truck and hauled it away. The car and the story behind it, were the talk around the area for many, many months.

How about a 351W and a 5 spd. ? Whatever you decide, remember that your Falcon doesn't weigh all that much. Prolly around 2700 lbs or so and will need sub frame connectors if you put a lot of engine in there. Ya don't need too much to be quick and fast.
