Do you want to know where to start painting or where to hook up a lift chain?
Be a little more specific...

Re: 200 ci engine removal, no idea what im doing
Have you ever taken High School Auto Shop?
We used to do this quite often there, and sort of depended upon how many additional items were connected in to the engine (like P.S. or A.C) as to just how long it took. No way can describe how to do this and reinstall in such limited time and space. But, the instructor ought to be able to tell you there.

Re: 200 ci engine removal, no idea what im doing
If you are just going to paint then separate them. That way you will do less damage. Jack car and support with jack stands NOT cinder blocks. Disconnect battery ground cable. Loosen and remove exhaust pipe to manifold bolts. Remove starter bolts and cable to remove starter. Remove inspection cover bolts on transmission bell housing. Remove 4 fine thread nuts from converter to flex plate. You will have to move crank clock wise with socket and ratchet to access 3 of the bolts. Remove the bolts from the bottom that you can reach from bell housing to engine. Leave an easy one from the top to get later. Remove motor mount bolts. Remove kick down linkage from trans and carb. Drain oil. I think then you may lower car. Drain coolant from radiator. Remove upper and lower hoses and radiator. Disconnect carb linkage and wiring to coil and sensors. Disconnect heater hoses from engine. Remove ground cable from engine block. Fine a good place to mount chain kinda line from front to back and side to side. Support trans pan with block of wood and jack from side of car. Hook up cherry picker and remove last bell housing bolt. It should come out. Pulled the six out of my sons 66 Mustang in about an hour. REMEMBER Safety first! That is all I can remember. But with the limited knowledge you have I would mask engine off and paint engine compartment that way.

You might want to drain the engine and the coolant first. The trans will leak fluid from the front pump area of torque convertor because it will want to come out with the engine. Have something to keep the convertor in place wire etc. Other wise it will come out. While you're at it, replace the trans seal as it has probably been leaking. The guys suggestions are right on. be sure to clear anything that make hang up on the engine while it is being removed. you want to have a clear area to lift & not have hoses and battery cables hang up on the engine. There might be a ground strap to firewall there somewhere.

Re: 200 ci engine removal, no idea what im doing
When I pulled and rebuilt the 289 motor in my' Comet Caliente, I drew a diagram of everything removed in the engine compartment. I tagged each wire, hose and linkage and noted this on the diagram. I also kept all bolts and nuts separated and noted per location. This really helped when putting everything back in their correct places.
