Hi from Argentina i present my sprint 1980 221 six "NEW PICS"

Hi im Rama (Ramiro) from Argentina most especific in La Plata city (capital of Buenos aires province) Im the most happy owner of a FORD FALCON SPRINT 1980 in proces of restoring and given some extra power I try to show some pics of the process and ..sorry for my Bad english i try to learn day to day...
when i bougth ..november 2007































my transmision (F.A.E )fabrica argentina de engranajes (Argentinian factory of Gears...is copy of a saginaw


bought in ebay the last month

pardon by the length post I hope understand sorry by my English and I hope can enjoy the photos

Nice Photos...It's good to see hot rodding is alive and well at the other end of the Americas.

Looks like you are making the best of the engine you have available. It should make those stock straight 6 engines stand up and take notice.

I've always wondered what the Falcon would look like if they never killed it off. Now I know. Crazy, from the sides its the same lines at a '62-'63, but with '80's style lights.

Awesome job on the motor. Looks great.

Hi guy`s tx for the replies ...allways try to put the best things but i dont have enough money for thing that i want but...whith help of my familly and friend`s of the club Fana Falcon - El sitio dedicado al Falcon Argentino all is possible
in this week i try to put some new pic`s of the development in the headcylinder (original iron ...because aluminium is comming the next year i hope) of my sprint ...port /polished isky springs mod 4205 originals pushrods ,steel retainers for the isky springs(JOSEPH competicion) valvetrain (steel arms and all the body ..non roller is very expensive here ) for Jose Masciotra is one of finest mecanics of popular race category here in Argentina called "Turismo carretera" .
Special Valvles diferent size and material
the engine is bored to 0.60 whith forged pistons diferent pushrods y have cranckshaft 221 ci. with 188 ci. pushrods and pistons for 221 ci modify to fit is the third on the list http://www.iapel.com/productos_en.asp?IdMarca=12
i have a weber 44/44 two barrel with some extra work
And the cam and mecanic lifters there are form Levas Romero where say "nuestros trabajos" is "our jobs" klic there and go to falcon link ,search for Nº 14 "falcon picadas" is "drag falcon" there is the specifications (8.60 mm x 106º x 300º) .
with this car and his modification we try (mechanic and me ) to going to the next championship of a "300 libres" is somethig like a few meters more than 1/8 mile ... link TC Urbano

tanks...yes like you say the chassis for a ford falcon in Argentina is the same that was in the 1961 when the falcon came to Argentina to a end of his fabrication in 1991 with a few modifications only change the motor to a 170 " to 187" 187 xp (extra powered) and the new 188 cid" 221cid" and 221 cid sprint with another head ,cam ,carburettor ,rear axle and the toploader gearbox" with the years change the equipment and exterior and interior but the soul is very iqual like the 61 ...
