82 Mustang 200CI

I have a 64 Comet 2 door convertible with a Ford 200CI. I want to build a moderate 6 cylinder to replace the one currently running the car. I have a line on a 82 Mustang with a 200ci and automatic transmision for $550 and would like to know if this is a "better" engine that is in my 64.
Thanks guys
Brian

Re: 82 Mustang 200CI

The head is slightly better, but other than that it's all the same with the exception of the smog stuff...

Remove the smog, then put on a big Carb and go driving.
