'66-'67 Ford Falcon/ Fairlane Differences

I am totally confused. I am looking at a 1967 Falcon station wagon, and it has two headlights in front like a Falcon, but it says Fairlane on the quarter panels. This car is totally original and is a one owner car. I have also seen Falcon station wagons that appear to have Fairlane looking tail lights. What is the deal? Can anyone shed any light on the differences between '66-'67 Fairlanes and Falcons. Also what is the deal with Rancheros, because I have a '66 Ranchero with a Falcon front end and a '67 Ranchero with a Fairlane front end. ???????

I am gonna only reply on the Ranchero part cause I also had a 66 Ranchero. The 66 year Ranchero's were one year only 1966. In 1967 they switched the Ranchero over to the Fairlane front end however you cna swap the front ends either way on the 66-67 chero's because from what I have learned the changes were purely fenders, hood, headlight's, grille and such. Also as far as I know the tails on a 66 wagon and chero were 66 only and 67 changed to a different style but you can still swap them around. I now have a 66 Falcon and I am still learning the differences between a 66 and 67 but from what I know they are very minor and everything is interchangeable. After a quick image search I found there to be a 67 Falcon wagon and a 67 Fairlane wagon. Hope this helps a little.
