Pinto is Finaly running. Still more to do though....

Hey all just thought id share my little victory in the war of the Pinto against the wife....

Anyways i got her running (the car not the wife.... yet)

Heres a quick shot of its first firing. Its been almost 5 years since i tore it down to replace the ailing 4brl 2.0 . It kinda scared me. I wasn't prepared to hear it fire on the first few tries. In the carport and with the dual 2.5 40 series flows, it was almost frightening to me as it rumbled very anxiously. Almost akin to a hungry tiger on a chain with a peice of meat 5 feet in front of it.
Well, LOL ! hope you enjoy!

71Ford V8 Pinto. My 5 year project. FINALLY STARTED!! Yes it needs tuning. I havent even timed it yet Just the first few minutes of running. Also the dam thing is so loud in the Carport that the sound is very distorted. It has a"full exhaust" with 2.

Excellent work, it's going to be a great little sleeper.
BTW, now you can outrun Ralph Nader. LOL.

Nice going on the Pinto. I also have a `71 Pinto. I will send Pics. It has a 302 with full comp. Headers. 9" rear with Locker 4.57, C-4 with reverse body shift kit, 3500 stall with cooler. Boss 429 hood scoop, Home made spoiler `glassed on rear Hatch back, Shelby Tail lights, Louvers on back. Mustang ll Black interior and Buckets. Battery in Trunk. Traction Bars. Street driven. When I launch this with " Slicks, The Front comes off the ground about 3"`s, COOL. I also sent some Pics of my other toys. A Pantera 351C, My Opel GT with a 514 Ford, My Jet boat with a 460.
