Still need some tuning but I got her running good enough to rip off a few.

my very first run after getting the "right" firing order

A few days later.

Okay Mike, now you need to get it a little sideways, that's when you know you are making some power! Keep checking on eBay for some smaller pulleys, they show up from time to time. -Mike

Re: my supercharged 349 stroker

Hey Mike,
I broke down and ordered a 2.6" from Summit. The mustang will do 3rd gear burnouts on a roll. I think I am leaning out so I'm going to put the 74's back in the primary. I have not connected the AIS yet but you bet I will when I put the smaller pulley on.

Thordane: No missed shift, was just being cautious as that was my first real balls out run. It was hitting the rev limiter and is still in need of some tuning. I hope to have that all squared away this weekend as long as it doesn't snow. It snowed all last weekend!

Re: my supercharged 349 stroker

I'm not sure how much power I have. I'm hoping about 450ish. With these 4.10 it feels like a rocket ship. It's not pleasant to drive above 50 since she's screaming for mercy. I plan on getting some 3.70's for the summer. It's supposed to be a nice weekend so I need to fix some leaks. The front of my manifold has developed a gusher. It's going to be a pain since the weiand has to come off.

Re: my supercharged 349 stroker

I found that you need extra gobs of silicon on the ends of the manifold to help it seal better. It sounds like you got at least 450hp. What is your rpms at 50mph?? Mine are sitting at 2363rpms @ 60mph and 2000rpms @ 50mph with my .83 ratio 5th gear. Just curious on what cam your running in that beast.

Re: my supercharged 349 stroker

What gear are you running? You are lucky to have those RPMs at 60. My speedo is not working right now. Even if it was I never changed the speedo gear in the trans. The speed limit is 55 on the main road to my place. I'll be holding up traffic doing about 50 and she's screaming over 3000. I'll have to check that tomorrow. I just finished replacing the gaskets and cleaning up. I did use the "right stuff" on both ends. I got everything back together and I won't start it until tomorrow when the RTV has dried
.

Re: my supercharged 349 stroker

I'm running a 3.55 true trac with my .83 ratio...5th gear. I have a Tremec TKO 5 Speed manual. I didn't get the .68 5th gear but got the road racing .83 ratio. My rims/tires are currently 15" with a 25.16" diameter(they came with the car when I bought it). Getting ready to put on my 17X8 rims up front/17X11 rims out back. Fronts will be 235/45/17 and rears will be 285/40/17. (11.22 inches wide). Going with Torque Thrust II's. To get to 3,000rpms in 5th gear, I need to be going 80mph

P.S. I siliconed my intake and 2.5 hours later I had her running. You should be fine judging from the pics you uploaded.

Here's a pic of the same rim/tire combo.
