Re: FordMuscle Machine Testing
The cast iron cleveland heads are boat anchors on my frontend for sure! I can't afford to go aluminum to lose that weight. That ol' saying " How fast you wanna go? How much $$$ you got?" seems to always apply to me! Actually, I'm very close to where I want to be with the 433:1. The trans gear change is what I need to overcome launch rpm issue. The first gear change will give me the desired leverage I need to lower launch RPM. It will definatly overcome the bog without having to rev to the moon. I don't plan to slip the clutch to launch, just a couple tire rotations. The clutch I'm sure is slipping wheither I like it or not, that's why I don't want to dial in any more. 60ft is my main focus, and it determines EVERYTHING. It just sucks that this year I'll have to be in the 5000RPM neighborhood to do it. Again, the shock adjust might just put me where I need to be right now. It's bad when you have to carry a spare driveshaft! LOL! I just don't have a spare tailshaft!
