Re: 67 galaxie disc brakes

Thanks for your input Kalepsis. I gave in and ordered a complete front/rear conversion kit today for $1,200 at dfbrakes.com and got the deluxe front end rebuild kit from P-S-T at $440. I know it's the wimpy way out, but I'm just so spoiled driving my wife's Camry and being able to actually STOP. I'm considering new springs, but I'm planning to lower the car and do airbags so I'll wait. Also, my rear suspension will be screaming for some help once the front end is all buttoned down so that's likely my summer project.

Take care!

I can't fault you for that. If I had the money, I would definitely be doing the same thing, but I'm running on an active duty Marine's budget. Let us all know how your conversion turns out... don't forget some pics. And do you have a link to the front end rebuild kit? Or part number?

Re: 67 galaxie disc brakes

I have been looking at the stuff on db. The text says spindles but there's none in the pic, so i wondered... also, do you have power brakes and if so are you going to replace your original booster and pedal?
Keep us apprised, Terry.

you too, jarhead.

Aye, Sir!

And to answer a question that was not directed at me, I have power brakes, and while the booster and cylinder are rusted to ****, they still work perfectly. Actually, I was surprised just how well it does work after I replaced parts on the rear set and adjusted it all. Can't wait to get those brackets and install the whole thing.
