BOLT PATTERN

What is the bolt pattern for a stock 65 Galaxie 2dr HT? My Father sent me some Uni-lug Cragar S/S wheels. I need to get the uni-lugs for them.

Also, what would be the widest wheel that would fit in the rear wheel wells?

Thanx, as always.

The bolt pattern should be 5 on 4 1/2

As far as the widest rim, I run a 15x8 Weld Drag Lite with a 4 1/2 back spacing. With a 235/70-15 and it fills up the a '67 with no rubbing.

Cragar: 15 x 8, with P265 60. fit 65 Galaxie rear perfectly. Front will rub at full turn on some cars.

I should also add, on the front, you can not run 4 1/2 backspacing. It will get into the upper control arm/ball joint with a 15" wheel. On the front, I run a 15 x 7 with 3 1/2 backspacing and a 215/70-15. It will rub at full lock. If Weld had only made a 4" backspacing, it would be OK

The back springs were new when these pics were shot, they settled down about 1 1/2 and looked alot better. Since this car is for sale, these wheels are going to go on my red '67 XL.

Are you trying to decide what backspacing you need?

Yes

The wheels my Father sent are 4 15x7's. They all need to be replated. I want to replate 2 of them and get 2 new 15x8's for the back.

Lay a straight edge on the wheel mounting face (disc/drum face) and then measure from there to the inner wheel well. Subtract about 1 inch for clearance and that should get you in the ball park.

It definetly looks like they have a 4 1/2 back spacing. That size will rub? Is this correct?
