blower motor

Since my car was never working correctly in the heating dept. I have no idea how well the defrosting capabilities of the car are. I had a bad heater box seal (the $60 seal).
I could never get my car defrosted that well at night with the seal being non existant. So I wanted to ask you guys how well it works in your car? I am also wondering if you can buy a blower motor that is better than the factory one
(more speed or volume maybe?)

Mine seemed to work well for the age of the car. Don't know if there are larger substitute motors for those or not though. I do know the heat really cranks on my 64 though. Keeps my hands warm at the bottom of the wheel driving with no top in 25* weather.

Wow Deb! Must be a very interesting town with you driving around topless sorry I had to do it.
One of the causes of not having heat or strong air from the vents is the vent doors not opening when they should or the other way round. If your car is an AC car you've got to check for vacuum leaks. And they are a real pain in the a$$.

Yep it sure is!! Haven't been arrested yet!
Luckily all my vents are operated by cable so only if the hoses to the vents have holes in them there will be a problem. The main one from the heater box to the fan was gone in mine and i was too cheap to buy one for 50 bucks so i made one with a peice of waterbed mattress. No AC but with no top it wouldn't do much good anyway. First time a truck would pass me wtih the top up it would be gone i think! If it lasted that long at speed.
