65460, Can you tell me a little about your front brakes?

What brand are those front disk on your Galaxie?

I wanna convert my 66 to front disk and that kit you have on your 65 looks very nice!

I thought your car has manual disk on it but,I could be mistaken?

I have a fairly big solid cam in my 66 and vacuum for the power booster is a slight factor....I could run a vacuum canister but,if your car stops good with manual disk I would prolly go that route too......

Thanks! DT..

Tom, I switched to manual discs on my 66 Galaxie. I am very happy with the way it stops. I got my kit from Master Power Brakes. They use early-mid seventies Full sized Ford parts so replacement parts are easy to get. Mine are the single piston variety. Like the SS brake kit, they came complete with mc,proportioning valve, flexible lines and completely assembled spindles, rotors and calipers. I did have to use the tierod ends from a 69 Galaxie because after 68 they went to a different taper on the spindle.

DT, if it's any help to muddy the waters further, when I did the T-bird disc swap on fxjr's wagon, it stopped as good as my Mark VIII...

Hey Chuck, did you have any problem dialing in the rear bias?
