part number

Does anyone know what this part number is, if it's legit? My wiper switch fell apart and this is the number on it, but when I go to look for a new one nothing comes up with this number

switch reads (stamped into metal):
RBM C3AB-17A553-A1
it has 3 prongs and 1 seperate prong for ground.

the number on my wiper motor itself is:
C3AF-17504-R
I think it's a single speed, not sure though.

There's a switch on ebay if you wanted to check it out.

I saw the switches on Donahues site, but they all have more contacts than the one I have does. I might just put the old junker back in and use an under the dash rigged up one. I am pretty sure it was only one speed so it won't be that hard to wire it up.

Sounds like you're looking for a one-speed-WITHOUT-washer switch, which was probably the most common of all.

Keep looking, they're not that hard to come by.

You might even be able to get one at Napa, have you gave them a call? That's where I got a new light switch at. There was a difference as one prong was missing on the new one. I figured they had just combined 2 into one or something. They let me take it home and put it in the car to try it out before I bought it which was really cool. Everything worked.
