65 Galaxie Stock Rear Ride Height.....

I'm lookin to raise the rear in the Galaxie alittle...to give it alittle bit more of an agressive look...and to get the wheel wells above the tires alittle....

As of right now, I have hinky dinky air shocks.......
And the springs are probably stock....

Springs and Things has stock ride height springs, and raised springs that are 1.5'' over.....

I'm thinkin about grabbin the 1.5'' over.

I want an agressive ''ramp'' look to it...but definialy not over done.....Would this work?

Personally, I would drop the front to get that “raked” look. Dropping the front will also give you a little better handling. But that’s just my opinion.

Too bad Dearborn classics didn't give you a choice on spring hieght etc, that would be closer and save on shipping costs for you also since they aren't that far away.

Easy. get station wagon springs. Rose mine up a good couple inches, and stiffened it up quite a bit too.

When I got my '65 it sat a little higher in the front than the back, so I cut one coil from the front and it brought it down over 2" and the car has a nice, low look with a noticable rake. I know you're running the crites headers and if I had them on my lowered car they would drag all day, so I think your plan is a good one. The front of your car may sit higher now that you've gone to an aluminum intake too.

When you get your wheel and tire combination and the new rear springs you can tweek the combination by trimming the front springs if needed or getting stiffer ones. I'll bet if you raise it just 1.5" in the rear you won't need to modify the panhard bar either.

Thanks Jake...your reply hit it RIGHT on the ball....

With some 28'' tires, and 1.5 inch raise....it should have noticible rake...

Thanks for noticing the crites headers....alot of people say ''just drop the front end''.....hehe...scrape!!!

Ill keep you notified Jake...thanks!

Thanks to all the rest.....
