Horn Ring Retainer

Hello to all. This is my first post on this site, although I've been lurking for about a month. I own a '66 Galaxie 500 convertible.

To make a long story short, last night I broke the plastic horn ring retainer while trying to get a deer to move off the road. Anyone have any ideas where I might obtain another? I've already tried Dearborn, but they don't have one.

Thanks in advance for the help.

BTW - It's a nice helpful forum you have here. It speaks well of the membership.

Mike

Try here and see if they have one.

I think it's the same thing as they are calling and index plate but not sure.

On a whim, I stopped out to the local Ford dealer in hopes that they had one on a back shelf. They didn't have one, but ran the part number and, much to my surprise, there was still new stock available. I should have the new retainer by Thursday.

Cool! Sometimes going to the dealer or local parts store actually pays off.
